Orkla Group Procurement (OGP) is the centralized procurement function which handles procurement of categories that have strategic importance across a number of Orkla businesses, where there are synergies in spend. We are in a number of locations in Europe with the majority located in Oslo, Malmo, Stockholm and Denmark. The role


We are now looking for a Category Analyst/ Senior Category Analyst to work with centralized procurement within the Grain Based Category. Grain Based is part of the Commodities sector, responsible for all purchasing activities for Sugar, Cocoa, Vegetable Oils, Nuts, Seeds and Grain Based for the entire Orkla Group, with a total annual spend of more than 4,3 billion NOK.


The Grain Based category annually spends up to around 1,2 billion NOK, with a broad portfolio of different Sourcing Groups that are included in the category. Different types of grain such as wheat and corn stand for the highest part of volume and spend, covering more than 30 Business Units within the Orkla Group in the Nordics, Baltics and centrally Europe. 


Working within Group Procurement in Orkla means a lot of responsibility from day one and opportunities to develop and grow your career both within OGP and Orkla. Preferable location is Stockholm, but Oslo, Malmö or Vejle in Denmark are also possible locations.

 

What you can expect from the role:
•    Contribute to Strategic sourcing processes including negotiations and contracting 
•    Continuously monitor supply markets with regards to price and supply 
•    Provide input to the Cost Development process
•    Support Category Manager in Strategy Development
•    Build up category competence within the Grain Based category
•    Work with sustainability within the category

 

What are we looking for?


To be successful in this role we believe that a flair for numbers and data is a great advantage and that you have the ability to not only see the details but also the big picture. Equally important as handling data is the ability to communicate and interact with colleagues and suppliers at all levels. Our ideal candidate is commercially minded, results driven, and team oriented with a strong ability to establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders.  

 

Key requirements:
•    Minimum Bachelor degree or equivalent
•    1-4 years work experience from procurement, management consulting or similar
•    Ability to work with several IT and system tools including Excel
•    Preferably an understanding of agri-commodities’ produce, supply chain and markets
•    Demonstrated capability for change management is preferred
•    Experience in managing international business relationships and suppliers is preferred
•    Result oriented and thrives on driving change initiatives 
•    Ability to influence and obtain buy-in from key stakeholders.
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Fluency in written and spoken English is a must, and in addition, proficiency in a Scandinavian language is preferred
•    Some travel can be expected in this role.
