What is your background?
I have an extensive background working within consumer goods companies such as L’Oréal and the Fiskars Group. I have worked with many world class brands such as Fiskars and Iittala both in trade and brand marketing and within product and category management.

What is your role?
As an export brand manager at Orkla Confectionary & Snacks Finland, I am responsible for the marketing and assortment management of Panda licorice, which is one of Orkla’ s biggest export brands. I manage the total life cycle of Panda’s export assortment and develop the concepts and tools for shopper and consumer marketing to maximise our visibility and sales. I also coordinate Panda’s intercompany activities with our sister companies in the Nordics and in Baltic countries.

What is the best part of working here?
In addition to the great (and frankly delicious) brands, I think people are one of Orkla’ s greatest assets. Each day you get an additional boost of energy by being able to work with great colleagues all around you. I also feel that Orkla is committed to developing its employees by providing us with the tools by which we can grow our expertise, which I find extremely motivating.

What is different about Orkla compared to other companies especially within the FMCG sector?
I feel that Orkla is committed to developing the professionalism of its employees which makes me proud. I also feel that the organization empowers people to develop their own range of responsibility and ask for more challenges. Combining these two elements together really motivates people to do their best every day and improve the way we work which eventually will lead to individual and company-wide success.

What is your favourite product and why?
Well, naturally it’s Panda Natural liquorice. The simple recipe and clean ingredients mixed together with the delicious taste is an unbeatable combination. My absolute favourite is the Natural Oat Liquorice which combines an intense licoricey flavour with a slightly rougher texture when you bite into it.
