How to apply
There are many pathways to a career in Orkla, and the application process varies from one position to another. However, the majority of candidates must go through many of the same steps. Here we would like to describe the process in a little more detail.
1. The application
We ask that everyone applying for a job at Orkla use our electronic application form and upload their CV, certificates and references, if any.
Unfortunately, we normally do not accept open applications, so we recommend that you keep an eye on our Careers pages where all job vacancies are posted. You will receive a confirmation when we register your application.
2. Reply
We consider it important to make a thorough assessment of each application that we receive. As a result, the time it takes to receive a reply as to whether you will be invited to an interview varies. On the other hand, we put great emphasis on ensuring that the process is as swift as possible, so that candidates do not need to wait long for a reply. When Young Professionals (max. two years’ previous experience), are recruited ability tests may be used as a screening tool and will be carried out prior to the first-round interview.
3. First-round interview
If we think you are an interesting and relevant candidate for the position, we will invite you to a first-round interview. The purpose of the first-round interview is to get to know you better as a candidate. When recruiting for Brand Manager jobs, this interview may be replaced by a Recruitment Day, which usually involves case-solving, speed interviews and presentations.
4. Tests and at-home case studies
Between the first and the second-round interviews, we often use relevant tests and/or at-home case studies. This is to identify the best possible match between the specified requirements and job description and the candidate’s abilities, knowledge and qualities. Orkla’s HR staff includes certified testers.
5. Second and third-round interviews
The purpose of a second and third-round interview is to make an in-depth assessment of your personality, qualities, qualifications and skills. If you have prepared a case study or taken tests, these must be presented and feedback is provided.
6. Reference check
After the final interview, we will often carry out a reference check.
7. Appointment
After this process we will hopefully be able to offer you a position at Orkla. If so, you will be sent an offer and a contract of employment.
If you have any questions regarding this process, don’t hesitate to contact us. Good luck!
