We are looking for a Purchaser to join our Supply Chain Procurement organization. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full procurement lifecycle within your category, from supplier onboarding and contract management to cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will work closely with Operations, R&D, Category teams, and suppliers to ensure procurement supports business goals, operational excellence, and responsible sourcing.
Position is based in Norway or Denmark; occasional travel may be required.
Main Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

Plan and lead testing and implementation of new suppliers or specifications from a procurement perspective

Contribute to category strategies and opportunity assessments within your assigned area

Act as a first point of contact for supplier or operations driven innovation and participate in innovation projects

Manage supplier data and spend portfolio in relevant procurement systems
-
Identify and drive cost saving, sustainability, and design to value initiatives
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, operations, and key suppliers
Contract, Price & Compliance Management

Update articles and prices in ERP systems, independently or in collaboration with support functions

Coordinate price management together with Operations
-
Ensure contracted payment terms are implemented and followed

Secure compliance with procurement contracts and Orkla Code of Conduct
Process Improvement, Risk & Performance
-
Participate in continuous improvement and cross-functional projects
-
Ensure specifications and requirements from R&D are accurate, updated, and available

Provide input to supplier risk assessments and signoff on relevant documentation
-
Act as escalation point for supplier claims, payments, and operational performance issues
-
Participate in supplier evaluations and responsible sourcing initiatives
Who We Are Looking For
This role is ideal for a commercially minded procurement professional who combines strong analytical skills with relationship building capabilities and a proactive mindset.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s degree preferred)

Minimum 4+ years of relevant procurement experience

Experience working with ERP systems

Strong negotiation skills and experience handling complex negotiations
-
Experience managing international suppliers and business relationships
-
FMCG or retail experience is preferred, category or sector knowledge is an advantage
-
Ability to get others on board and collaborate cross functionally
-
Comfortable managing change in a dynamic environment

Fluency in written and spoken English
-
Knowledge of Nordic or Baltic languages is an advantage
