Your Role and Impact

As a Local Process Manager – R&D, you will play a key role in driving the successful implementation and long-term adoption of SAP S/4HANA within the R&D function. You will act as the primary business lead for the R&D stream, ensuring that business needs are translated into effective solutions and that processes are aligned, standardized, and optimized across the organization.

This role bridges business and IT, ensuring that new ways of working are successfully implemented and adopted. Beyond implementation, you will contribute to sustainable value creation by driving continuous improvements, strengthening governance, and ensuring high-performing, compliant R&D processes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as Work Stream Lead for the R&D functional area and ensure delivery of all activities within scope
  • Represent R&D in the SAP project and in SAP related areas, serving as the key interface between business, IT, and project teams
  • Drive alignment, harmonization, and standardization of R&D processes in line with SAP templates
  • Analyze current processes (“as-is”) and support the design of future processes (“to-be”)
  • Identify, document, and support decision-making on process gaps (deltas)
  • Lead change management activities and ensure business readiness and adoption of new ways of working
  • Define and validate master data requirements and support data readiness and migration activities
  • Coordinate and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure quality outcomes
  • Identify training needs and support delivery of training for end users and super users
  • Maintain governance structures and drive continuous process improvement post go-live
  • Monitor performance, track improvements, and ensure process compliance
  • Manage communication and alignment with key stakeholders across functions

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a proactive and business-driven professional who can combine strong R&D process understanding with experience in digital transformation. You thrive in complex environments, enjoy working cross-functionally, and are motivated by driving change and delivering tangible business impact.

You are comfortable operating at the intersection of business and IT, taking ownership of initiatives and ensuring alignment across stakeholders. With strong analytical thinking and communication skills, you are able to influence others and successfully drive projects forward.

Education & Experience:

  • MSc in Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience with SAP (preferably S/4HANA) or PLM tools (e.g., Infor, Windchill)
  • Experience working with product data (BOM, specifications, materials) and change management processes
  • 5+ years of experience in R&D, product development, or related areas in manufacturing/FMCG
  • Proven experience working with end-to-end business processes and cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience leading projects or cross-functional initiatives and coordinating stakeholders
  • Experience in process improvement, harmonization, or standardization initiatives
  • Experience with ERP implementations, digital transformation, or process design
  • Knowledge of master data and data quality in business processes

Personal Attributes:

  • Strong drive for results and ability to deliver in complex environments
  • Resilience and ability to manage pressure and change
  • Ability to engage and bring others on board
  • Strong decision-making capability

Other Requirements:

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Fluency in Swedish and/or Norwegian
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4HANA)
