We are looking for an analytical Junior Demand Planner with strong collaboration skills
 

Do you want to take part in strengthening the Planning and Logistics department in one of the largest FMCG companies in the region? Do you possess a strong understanding of operational demand planning processes? Do you have strong analytical skills and are you process driven? Are you a great communicator with an eye for detail? This role is responsible for driving the Demand planning process, which involves creating and optimizing Demand Forecast plans which estimate future sales in the most viable way. The role will work closely with the BU Sales and Marketing teams, the central Category sales and marketing teams as well as the S&OP departments, to ensure that the BU’s sales forecast plans are delivered in optimal ways.

The position reports to Head of Demand planning and will be based at Orkla’s office in Skøyen, Oslo in Norway.
 

WHAT WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES?

In this role you will be responsible for the development and implementation of Demand Forecast Planning (part of S&OP) process within Orkla Snacks Norway.

Key responsibilities:

  • Implement Demand Forecast Planning process within the Business Unit (BU) according to the standardized Demand Planning and S&OP processes. This includes KPI report, Demand Cleansing, Statistical Forecasting, Combined forecast and release.
  • Lead the monthly Demand Planning/Review process for the BU.
  • Responsible for the Demand Forecast KPI report for the BU, for the statistical forecasting, for securing a “final monthly forecast” on different levels, for “monthly forecasting process” and leading cross-functional teams within the Demand Review
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of the process, and to ensure alignment between demand planning stakeholders. 
  • Responsible for Demand Planning capability building in the BU, incl. monitor and act on performance gaps throughout the process, and other processes and system within the area. 
  • Secure correct master data within the Demand Planning area for the BU. 
  • Prepare and present reports, forecasts, and recommendations to management. 
  • Develop and maintain best practices and policies.   
  • Collaborate and communicate well with internal and external stakeholders.    
  • Monitor and report on performance metrics and KPIs.

Key qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in supply chain or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in Demand planning and/or other Planning functions
  • Experience of processes and structure for Demand planning.         
  • Strong communication skills and ability to make presentations reports for management
  • Knowledge of Office systems, ERP systems and/or Supply Chain Planning tools and systems
  • Highly organized, analytical, and strong decision-making skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken Norwegian (or any of the Scandinavian languages) and English
