Your Role and Impact
As an IT Engineer, you will be a key driver of digital transformation across our supply chain. You will lead and manage the implementation of Digitalization initiatives based on our strategic roadmap, providing hands-on support and expertise to local factories within Orkla Snacks Supply Chain. You will act as a trainer, ensuring that digital tools and systems are used optimally to improve reliability and performance, and you will play a central role in standardizing processes, masterdata, and system setups throughout our organization. Your work will bridge the gap between IT/OT teams, enabling harmonization and synergy across our manufacturing network.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and manage digital initiatives across Orkla Snacks Supply Chain, contributing to the digital transformation roadmap.
- Drive governance and continuous development of the OT-Digital Core, including decision-making on improvements and overseeing their implementation across multiple factories.
- Ensure standardization and harmonization of processes, masterdata, and system setups (MES, IIoT platforms, print & apply systems).
- Implement Digitalization strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Orkla Snacks IT & Orkla IT to ensure security, integrity, and availability of OT-Digital Core systems.
- Coordinate and support integrations related to OT-Digital Core, including data pipelines, business analytics, and system upgrades.
- Monitor system performance, proactively address potential issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide data for analytics, preventive maintenance, and business operations (MES, SAP, etc.).

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in manufacturing systems, industrial automation, or a similar technical leadership role within manufacturing, utilities, or critical infrastructure sectors.
- Strong knowledge of core manufacturing systems such as ERP, MES, SCADA, HMIs, and PLCs, with expertise in at least one area.
- Experience in project management and planning, preferably within operational improvement projects.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies (IIoT, edge computing, predictive maintenance, AI) in an manufacturing context.
- Desirable: Experience with IIoT platforms such as Ignition from Inductive Automation, data management (Python, SQL, databases), and managing digitalization projects or digital transformation initiatives.
