Orkla Health International is now looking for a new Area Sales Manager to manage the Perpirex brand in the European region. Perspirex is a fast-growing and highly profitable brand, and this creates a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious candidate with international sales experience.
Job description:
The Area Sales Manager, Perspirex, is responsible for Perspirex sales in the European region. He/she will manage the distribution network, optimizing the existing relationships, and prospecting new partners when required. Together with the distributors, the Area Sales Manager, Perspirex will build strategies, which ensure long term growth, set KPI’s and drives the implementation of these strategies, manage contingency when adjustments are required, be the face of OHI and nurture external relationships to develop long-term trust.
Orkla Health International will give the Area Sales Manager freedom/support to perform the tasks at hand and invest in the suggested initiatives for growth, so that he/she sees the impact of his/her contribution, and feels both ownership and pride.
Main responsibilities:
- Set vision and create marketing plans yearly together with distribution partners
- Set KPIs and support distribution partners to implement marketing plans
- Adjust plans during the year according to contingency, or if KPIs are not met
- Support the sourcing and back-office team in OHI to make sure sales targets are achieved
- Adapt the central sales and marketing assets to fit local requirements
- Pilot the pricing and profitability of both distribution partners and trade
- Collect and channel pertinent competitive information to the central marketing team
- Build long term trust with the distribution partners to maximize their focus on OHI brands
- Find alternative distribution partners and manage transition in case of conflict
- Find new distribution opportunities in new channels/segments/geographies
Experience and skills:
- 5 years minimum professional experience with a successful track record
- experience in marketing and/or sales of consumer goods will be preferred
- experience with international projects or exposure to different cultures will be appreciated
- experience with pharmaceutical consumer products and channel will be preferred
- excellent communication skills and empathetic skills to adapt in a multicultural environment
- excellent English language skills, any foreign languages are extra assets
- understanding of the concept of revenue sharing in a distribution setup
- understanding of the concept of marketing mix in a consumer goods setup
- advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills, at ease with any new IT solution
- positive and generous attitude, our success is based on interactions with others
- self-driven: you take initiatives and manage challenging situations creatively
- trust-building: you are transparent and build trust in everything you do
The position reports to the Sales Director, EMEAA, Pharma Channel, currently located in Oslo, but the position can be filled in either Oslo (Skøyen, 1 office) or Copenhagen (Vallenbæk. Hillerød, 2 offices). The position requires physical presence at the appropriate office location 4 days per week.The position requires 2-4 days’ average monthly travel within Europe.
