What is the role all about?
Orkla Foods is strengthening its operational performance through a comprehensive Supply Chain Transformation, with Operations playing a key role in driving efficiency improvements and building long‑term operational capabilities across our manufacturing network.
As Project Manager*, you will lead performance diagnostics and implementation projects across Orkla Foods’ factories. You will work closely with site leadership and cross‑functional teams to translate analytical insights into concrete improvement initiatives and sustainable results on the shop floor. The role combines structured project management with hands‑on execution and capability building in a dynamic, international operations environment.
The role will report to Head of SC Operations.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Leading performance diagnostics and implementation projects across Orkla Foods’ manufacturing sites
- Applying Operational Excellence methodologies and supporting deployment of Orkla’s Production System
- Translating analysis into prioritised improvement initiatives, implementation roadmaps and measurable results
- Driving cross‑functional collaboration with site leadership, operators and functional experts
- Ensuring capability building by coaching site teams and project members in operational excellence tools and ways of working
- Supporting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across factories and projects
- Contributing to the development and refinement of Orkla’s Operational Excellence and Production System frameworks
- Extensive travelling to sites is required to execute projects in close collaboration with operations teams
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an analytical and hands‑on project manager who enjoys working close to operations and delivering results in complex environments.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Management or similar.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience, preferably from FMCG, consulting or a similar industrial or manufacturing environment
- Relevant experience within Operational Excellence, Lean, continuous improvement or production system deployment
- Proven experience leading improvement or implementation projects, including analysis, execution and change management
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and ability to translate insights into practical actions
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all organisational levels
- Driving licence is required
- Proficiency in English. Scandinavian language is an advantage
