What is the role all about?
As Procurement Financial Controller at Orkla Foods, you will support the finance and procurement teams by driving financial analysis related to purchasing activities at Orkla Foods PortCo level. The role plays a key part in ensuring cost efficiency, monitoring procurement budgets, evaluating supplier spending, and providing insights that optimize procurement decisions while maintaining strong financial compliance. You will work in close collaboration with Business Units and Orkla Procurement (OP), acting as a trusted finance partner across functions. The position offers broad exposure to procurement, finance, and supply chain topics in an international environment.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
• Analyzing procurement spend, budgets, and cost development to identify savings and value creation opportunities
• Supporting procurement budgeting, forecasting, and follow-up versus actuals
• Providing financial insights to support supplier negotiations and sourcing initiatives, including cost-benefit and ROI analyses
• Preparing procurement-related financial reporting and KPI insights
• Ensuring compliance with financial policies, controls, and audit requirements
• Acting as a finance partner to Operational Procurement, Business Units, and cross-functional stakeholders
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a structured and analytical finance professional who enjoys working across finance and procurement in a complex, international environment.
• Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar
• 5 years of relevant experience within finance, procurement finance, or financial analysis
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into business insights
• Solid Excel and ERP system experience (e.g. SAP)
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions
