Are you a commercially driven leader ready to grow an international Industrial Coatings business?
We are looking for a Sales Director Industrial Coatings to take overall responsibility for building and growing the Industrial Coatings segment within Orkla House Care.
This role is highly hands‑on in the initial phase, but with full strategic ownership of the segment. With a small organization today (1 direct report), you will work close to customers, negotiations and day‑to‑day commercial execution, while defining the long‑term strategy, commercial model and growth priorities for the business.
As the business grows, so will the organization. Until then, success in this role requires a combination of strategic judgement and operational drive, with a strong business development focus and the ability to personally create momentum in the market.
Your responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for driving growth and profitability within the Industrial Coatings segment.
- Own and execute the commercial strategy, translating long‑term ambitions into concrete actions and results.
- Personally drive business development, working hands‑on with customers, deals, negotiations and key accounts.
- Lead pricing, contracts, tenders, and commercial governance to ensure sustainable margins.
- Own forecasts and commercial input to planning and S&OP processes.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across Sales, Supply Chain, Product, Operations, and Finance.
- Lead and develop a small team today and scale the organization over time in line with business growth.
Qualifications
- Relevant higher education within Business, Economics or similar (extensive relevant commercial experience may compensate).
- Minimum 5 years of commercial B2B sales experience, from customer‑facing roles such as sales, business development or key account management, with clear responsibility for winning business and commercial results.
- Proven experience leading complex negotiations, tenders and managing commercial and legal agreements.
- Experience from international and multi‑market sales environments.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including pricing, margin and profitability management.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken.
Experience considered an advantage
- Experience from industrial markets such as marine, shipping, Oil & Gas or heavy industry.
- Experience selling technical or application‑based products or solutions, where commercial success depends on understanding customer use cases, operating environments and value drivers.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a commercial leader and relationship builder who thrives closely to customers and the business. You enjoy developing long‑term customer partnerships, and you are motivated by building trust, creating value and driving growth in industrial markets.
You combine hands‑on execution with strategic thinking, take ownership naturally and are comfortable developing both business and organization step by step.
You identify with Orkla House Care’s values: Passion, Results, Integrity, Diversity and Empowerment.
We value diversity and encourage all qualified candidates to apply, regardless of gender, age, background, or abilities. If you are motivated and have relevant experience, we welcome your application - even if you don’t meet every requirement. We believe that different skills and experiences bring unique value, and you might be the right fit for our team.
What can Orkla House Care offer you?
At Orkla House Care, you will be part of an international company with a strong market position and an ambitious growth agenda. We offer an environment where you are trusted to lead, empowered to shape the business, and supported in your professional growth.

- Close collaboration with engaged colleagues across functions and countries.
- Opportunities for continuous learning and professional development.
- A dynamic, collaborative, and supportive culture, where results, integrity and people matter.
