Join Our Team as an SQA engineer at Orkla House Care!
Orkla House Care is looking for a dedicated Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our team and help us ensure the highest standards of supplier quality across our operations in Bankeryd (SE), Bromsgrove (UK), Wommelgem (BE) and Zhaoqing (CN).
You will oversee Orkla House Care’s (OHC) SQA initiatives across all our production sites where suppliers in China will be followed up in cooperation with local SQA-role.
The role will report to Quality & Compliance Director in OHC. You will be part of a team consisting of Sustainability Manager and Regulatory Compliance Specialist and working in tight collaborations with the QHES-teams at our factories in Sweden, UK and China.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Lead Supplier Quality Assurance activities: Develop and improve processes, procedures, and ways of working with supplier quality assurance.
- Collaborate and Support: Work closely with Quality, Procurement, Product Development, Production, and other stakeholders to prevent supplier quality issues and reduce risks.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Plan and execute SQA tasks, gather supplier quality performance data, and initiate actions to address negative trends or deviations from targets.
- Conduct Supplier Audits and Training: Based on evaluated risks, plan and conduct supplier quality and EHS audits, identify high-risk suppliers, and train them in quality management tools.
- New Product Development: Be involved in new product development to reduce risk, avoid misunderstandings, and approve the supplier quality level.
- Report on status, risks, and progress.
- Support Responsible Sourcing activities in close alignment with Sustainability and Procurement
Qualifications:
- A relevant engineering degree, preferably within Quality/Supply Chain, or equivalent.
- Background in supplier quality assurance and quality engineering
- Experience in an international manufacturing matrix organization, including supplier follow-up
- Good understanding of quality and environmental management systems and audits.
- Knowledge of production processes, engineering, and technology.
- Understanding of Responsible sourcing, SMETA standard and SEDEX audits, or similar
- Holistic understanding of business, purchasing, quality, and supply chain.
- Good people skills and understanding of cultural differences.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Possession of a valid driver’s license is required.
