Orkla House Care is 100% owned by Orkla ASA. Orkla House Care is the leading provider of brushes, rollers and other painting tools. Including relevant consumables such as sanding, tape, protection gear and cleaning equipment. The main markets are the Nordic countries, Benelux and the UK. The main proprietary brands are Jordan, Harris, Anza, Spekter, SAM and Hamilton. Sales are mainly through traditional paint shops and trade merchants. The business has around 750 employees and the total business has a turnover of approximately 1,5 billion Norwegian kroner. Most of the products are self-produced and distributed through Bankeryd in Sweden, and Bromsgrove in the UK. The head office is at Skøyen in Oslo.

We’re Looking for a Temporary Finance Manager!  

We are looking for a dedicated and structured Finance Manager to join us for a parental leave cover. The position holds overall responsibility for financial management and controlling for the Sales business unit in Norway, as well as legal responsibility for Orkla House Care Norge AS. 

 

Your key responsibilities will be: 

  • Responsible for monthly reporting, budgeting, and estimates for Orkla House Care Norway, with focus on BU Sales Norway. 
  • Support BU Sales Norway to keep the business financially strong and report important issues to the Finance Director Commercial. 
  • Maintain performance and risk measurement systems aligned with group KPIs. 
  • Drive monthly business reviews to support and challenge commercial development. 
  • Ensure financial compliance with Orkla policies and internal controls. 
  • Responsible for legal reporting and dialogue towards local auditors, in cooperation with OHC accounting centre and Orkla Centre of Excellence. 
  • Drive and support cost improvement initiatives, as well as Identify and implement efficiency gains in the finance function. 
  • Provide local financial insights to the Finance Director Commercial. 
  • Handle ad-hoc reporting needs for BU Sales Norway. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • A degree in finance, economics, accounting, or equivalent relevant experience 
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in controlling, preferably in a commercially oriented sales organization 
  • Experience in a finance function within a larger corporation, with similar complexity, matrix structure, and organizational size 
  • Experience in handling local audits in cooperation with an accounting center 
  • Experience of working with financial applications (ERP systems) 
  • Proficient in Norwegian and English (spoken and written)
