Including relevant consumables such as sanding, tape, protection gear and cleaning equipment. The main markets are the Nordic countries, Benelux and the UK. The main proprietary brands are Jordan, Harris, Anza, Spekter, SAM and Hamilton. Sales are mainly through traditional paint shops and trade merchants. The business has around 750 employees and the total business has a turnover of approximately 1,5 billion Norwegian kroner. Most of the products are self-produced and distributed through Bankeryd in Sweden, and Bromsgrove in the UK. The head office is at Skøyen in Oslo.

What can you expect as an intern with us?

The Global Digital Team at Orkla House Care (OHC) is responsible for our entire technology landscape and collaborates across multiple business units to provide efficient support, reduce risk, and share expertise. The team combines technical IT knowledge with business understanding and includes process owners and IFS super users, among others. The position is based in Bankeryd, Sweden.

 

As an intern, you will become part of this dynamic team and have the opportunity to focus on one of the following exciting areas: Asset Management, IT Operations Specialist, or Cyber Security. Whichever area you are passionate about, you will contribute to real projects, gain hands-on experience, and learn from experienced colleagues in a supportive environment.

As an intern, you will:

 

Asset Management

  • Identify and analyze inventory across all company assets
  • Monitor software licenses, prevent over-purchasing, and ensure audit readiness
  • Plan hardware lifecycle management, replacement schedules, and the secure disposal of end-of-life equipment
  • Perform maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations

IT Operations Specialist

  • Provide support for the operation, administration, and continuous development of the company's internal IT environment
  • Automate manual IT processes using PowerShell and other automation tools
  • Document procedures, workflows, and technical solutions
  • Identify opportunities to improve and optimize IT operations
  • Implement and maintain automated certificate management processes
  • Support the organization's IT security and compliance initiatives
  • Participate in infrastructure development and digital transformation projects

Cyber Security

  • Conduct network audits, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments, including documentation and incident management
  • Follow up on remediation activities and verify that implemented fixes function as intended
  • Assist in managing VPN solutions and secure remote access
  • Perform network security reviews and configuration assessments
  • Support the development of IT security awareness and training materials
  • Assist in planning and executing phishing simulation campaigns
  • Contribute to maintaining and further developing security policies, standards, and procedures
