Orkla House Care is 100% owned by Orkla ASA. Orkla House Care is the leading provider of brushes, rollers and other painting tools. Including relevant consumables such as sanding, tape, protection gear and cleaning equipment. The main markets are the Nordic countries, Benelux and the UK. The main proprietary brands are Jordan, Harris, Anza, Spekter, SAM and Hamilton. Sales are mainly through traditional paint shops and trade merchants. The business has around 750 employees and the total business has a turnover of approximately 1,5 billion Norwegian kroner. Most of the products are self-produced and distributed through Bankeryd in Sweden, and Bromsgrove in the UK. The head office is at Skøyen in Oslo.

 

Key Account Manager – Orkla House Care Benelux

 

Are you passionate about creating value through strategic partnerships and driving success in the DIY/PRO market? Orkla House Care Benelux is looking for a skilled and ambitious Key Account Manager to play a key role in our growing organization.
 

As part of our team, you will take ownership of managing main chain customer groupings, ensuring strong relationships with some of the most important players in the DIY and PRO retail market. Your mission will be to develop and execute sales strategies that drive growth, and meet customer needs effectively. As a Key Account Manager BeLux, you will be responsible for creating and executing the sales strategy for major customers in the painting tools sector, primarily within the DIY market. Your focus will be on strengthening and expanding relationships with existing customers while achieving sales volume and efficiency goals. You will oversee accounts across various market segments, including Mass Market, Outlet, DIY and Pro.

 

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with both existing and new customers.
  • Managing the full sales lifecycle, including planning, negotiations, and ongoing account management.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for major DIY and Pro retail accounts across the Benelux region.
  • Driving growth by identifying opportunities, proposing innovative solutions, and delivering on sales volume and efficiency targets.
  • Supporting launches, customer activities, and training, while managing internal reporting processes.
  • Analyzing market trends, customer data, and competitor strategies to make informed decisions.

 

What makes you a great fit:

  • Preferably a bachelor’s degree in business administration or another relevant field. Equivalent experience is also welcome. 
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales or marketing, preferably within consumer goods and with exposure to major chain customers.
  • Experience with managing people is an advantage for the future.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex customer agreements.
  • Strong analytical mindset and the ability to identify opportunities for growth.
  • A results-driven, proactive approach with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels.
  • Knowledge of the DIY and retail market in the Benelux region is an advantage.
  • Fluent communication skills in English, Dutch, and/or French.
