We are looking for an analytical and self-driven Food Legislation Specialist with high integrity
 

Do you want to take part in strengthening the R&D department in one of Norway’s largest FMCG companies? Have you worked with food legislation and labelling, and have an understanding of regulatory, quality and supply chain aspects of labelling and impact of non-compliance? Are you proactive and structured with strong decision-making skills? This role is newly established and will be responsible for ensuring product compliance, checking raw material specifications and verify labels, create informative labels, and ensure effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

The position reports to Food Legislation Manager and will be based either at Orkla’s head office at Skøyen in Oslo or Orkla Confectionery and Snacks AB’s office at Solna in Stockholm.
 

WHAT WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES?

As a Food Legislation Specialist you must be able to understand requirements of food legislation, manufacturing processes, R&D and quality demands.

Key responsibilities:

• Safeguard the labeling process to ensure that products meet quality and safety requirements.
• Work closely with the production and category R&D teams to improve manufacturing procedures and products according to actual or future legal requirements
• Responsible for on time and accurate delivery of "back of pack" ingredient declaration and nutritional information and claims based on recipe and master data supplied by the category R&D teams
• Ensure final labelling information input in Dragonfly

Key qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality, Engineering or related field
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Operations, Regulatory or Quality environment working closely with food legislation and labelling
• Understanding of Regulatory, Quality and Supply Chain aspects of labeling and impact of non-compliance
• Highly organized, analytical, and strong decision-making skills

• Fluent in written and spoken English as well as one or more of the Scandinavian languages
