We are looking for an analytical and business driven Project Portfolio Manager in the R&D department with strong collaboration skills

This role is newly established and will be responsible for leading the process and development of required multi-category and multi-country projects based on Orkla Confectionery & Snacks (OCS) portfolio company strategy. The role will also manage projects between several Business Units, ensuring alignment, agreement and project implementation within time, quality, and budget. This role will have to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, such as category supply chains, cross-category R&D team, marketing, technical team, quality, external partners etc.
The position reports to PMO & Food Legislation Director and will be based at Orkla’s head office at Skøyen in Oslo.
WHAT WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES?
You will be the one leading successful implementation of cross-country innovation, as well as production effectiveness projects within or across certain product categories and ensure effective project management process with optimal cooperation between stakeholders, structural units, internal or external partners.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise implementation of project pipeline within certain time, quality and budget
- Safeguard that cross-country projects are aligned with OCS business and sustainability strategy and goals.
- Build, develop and retain strong project teams. Drive high performing, engaging and collaborative organizational culture and leadership practice.
- Actively participate in Central Product Management Reviews and present projects to the CS Management Team, expressing opinion, presenting projects and follow-up implementation
- Analyze financial data and understand monetary and organizational implications of projects.
- Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
- Participate and organize project related meetings
- Design project risk assessment and mitigation action plan.
- Conduct project review and create reports to the executive staff.
- Optimize and improve process and the overall approach where necessary.
- Secure OCS growth opportunities and initiate new projects.
- Stay ahead of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in project management and the confectionery and snack industry and identify opportunities for innovation and growth.

You are someone with great project management skills who drives towards results, are proactive and confident in decision making. You have a natural ability to build relationships both internally and externally and your ability to handle a fast-paced environment while remaining calm helps you maintain a holistic perspective and ensure effective problem-solving.
Key qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Business Management, Economics, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management, with proven track record of successful cross-country project implementation
- Minimum 1 year experience in people management in FMCG or production company is an advantage.
- Proven record of accomplishment of leading projects, from ideation to launch.
- Knowledge of project management methodology, techniques, and processes.
- Knowledge and basic understanding of European and market relevant food legislation framework.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to identify trends, opportunities, and risk.
- Highly organized, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in written and spoken English as well as one or more of the Scandinavian languages
- Ability to travel
