About Orkla Confectionery & Snacks (OCS)
Orkla Confectionery & Snacks is a dominant snack company located in the Nordics and Baltics, operating across seven markets with a proud annual turnover of around 7.5 billion NOK. Our company comprises over 3,000 dedicated people, bound by a passion for nurturing our portfolio of cherished brands like KiMs, Nidar, Stratos, Sætre, Göteborgs Kex, OLW, Panda, Laima, Selga, Taffel, Kalev, Nói Síríus, and many more. At our core, we are more than just snacks; in OCS we are creating moments of happiness, powered by a network of 13 specialized factories with a commitment to excellence and sustainability. OCS is an Orkla ASA portfolio company (PortCo).

As an independent PortCo with its own board and management structure, OCS is evolving. Our future organization will focus on three categories: Confectionery, Snacks, and Biscuits. This structure aims to enhance cost efficiency, harmonization, and investment in our brands, factories, and expertise.

The Role

In this transformation we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to lead and develop a team of Purchasers within the Commercial Category of Indirect Spend and Capital Expenditure (CAPEX). You will play a vital role in establishing efficient procurement strategies for non-production spend areas and capital expenditures. This role supports our broader objectives by managing supplier relationships, driving cost savings, and implementing best practices in sourcing, negotiation, and project management for these critical categories.

  • Establish and implement best practices within indirect procurement and CAPEX categories to maximize efficiency and value.

  • Lead category management for indirect spend and CAPEX, emphasizing cost optimization, innovation, and standardization across projects.
  • Support and follow up on cross-functional projects to align indirect spend and CAPEX strategies with broader company goals.
  • Negotiate contracts and regularly assess supplier performance, addressing any issues related to service quality, cost, or compliance in line with Orkla Supplier Code of Conduct
  • Mentor and enhance the skill set for Purchasers working with logistics, traded goods and indirect spend.
  • Develop, manage, and track KPIs and budget for indirect spend and CAPEX procurement.
  • Act as a strategic Procurement Partner within the Commercial Category and Supply Chain Management team, ensuring alignment with both indirect spend and capital project objectives.

  • Proven track record of leading and developing a procurement team.
  • Strong understanding of procurement strategies, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Extensive knowledge within sourcing and business understanding within the categories Confectionery and Snacks
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
