Are you motivated by creating value? Is finding new and brave ways to boost profitable growth exciting for you? Orkla is in the process of building a strong central Net Revenue Management (NRM) function and we need your passion and analytical mindset to join our Group Sales team.
 
Orkla Group Sales is Orkla’s shared Competence & Capability development centre within the sales function. Group Sales advises, coaches, develops best practice and trains Orkla Business Areas and Business Units on important sales related topics, such as marketplace strategy and distributor agreements. The focus of Group Sales is on sales excellence, net revenue management and managing sales to Amazon. The Group Sales team will be expanded in the coming year and has been given an important mandate in growing profit for the business. One of the expansion areas is boosting its NRM capabilities on a global scale and Group Sales has been tasked with driving this ambition from concept to reality. So we are looking for someone to be a key part of driving this growth and positive change.

 

We are working to build a strong central NRM function. As an NRM Analyst, you will be part of a team of 7 highly competent individuals (5 NRM BA leads and 2 analysts) and will be led by the VP NRM and SVP Orkla Group Sales. Our NRM excellence unit will work with NRM projects across all Orkla Business Units across Europe with the ambition of implementing our best practices (AKA the Orkla NRM way). This is a great opportunity for someone to become part of a new team that will be creating significant value across Orkla for both the short and long term. Given that the team is new and in development, you will have the opportunity to truly impact how we create and streamline processes and find new ways of working.  What You can expect from the role:

 

As an NRM analyst, you will support the NRM Business Area Leads in various strategic projects within one of Orkla’s five Business Areas: Foods Nordics & Baltics, Care, Confectionery & Snacks, Food Ingredients and Foods International, which are all international in scope.

 

  • You will be responsible for analyzing results and impacts across NRM levers in projects related to Brand portfolio pricing, Pack Price Architecture, Mix management, Promotions Management and Trade spend
  • You will drive analysis to identify improvement potential including clear suggestions on actions to close the gaps to excellent performance
  • Alongside the VP NRM, you will be responsible for running monthly Group sales NRM meetings (determining agenda items, collecting input from ongoing projects and preparing materials to promote shared learnings in team)
  • You will use NRM tools to generate new insights on NRM levers, be proficient in NRM tools to conduct analysis and customize and develop them to improve performance
  • You will contribute to improving NRM methodologies and approach, based on learnings from projects and analyses on specific levers
  • You will contribute to best practice development of specific NRM levers as Brand portfolio pricing, Pack Price Architecture, Mix management, Promotions Management, and Trade spend

 
What are we looking for?
 

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in business administration and/or related field
  • 1-4 years of experience from customer insight/sales/marketing/KAM/consulting ideally in FMCG organizations
  • Experience from working in analytical roles
  • Experience with customer contacts is preferred but not required
  • Understanding of NRM levers (Brand portfolio pricing, Pack Price Architecture, Mix management, Promotions Management, and Trade terms) with the ability to conduct analysis on them comfortably in order to identify NRM benefits
  • Strong capabilities in analytics and skills in making output easy to communicate
  • Ability to design and perform complex analysis and work with large data sets
  • Knowledge of information system tools (AC Nielsen, Sap r3, bw, Catman)
  • Fluent in English (both written and oral), Scandinavian language preferred 
  • Ability to travel on a semifrequent basis (dependent on project location)

 
The location for this position is flexible within the Nordics with location Oslo or Stockholm.
