Financial Manager

Orkla is a market-leading supplier of branded consumer goods and concept solutions to the grocery sector, specialist retailers, out-of-home sectors and the bakery market.
Orkla Food Ingredients is one of the 5 Business Areas in Orkla and accounts for 22% of Orkla’s operating revenues. OFI is the leading supplier of bakery ingredients in the Nordic and Baltic regions, in addition to holding growing positions in selected countries in Europe. The business area has sales and distribution companies in 21 countries. Artisanal and industrial bakeries account for around 66% of sales. Approximately 20% are direct-to-consumer sales under well-known brands such as Odense Marcipan, Mors Hjemmebakte, Kronjäst, Bakkedal and Naturli’. The remaining 14% are sales of ice cream ingredients and accessories.

 

We (Orkla Food Ingredients) are looking for a Finance Manager to join our Business Area team, located in our new Orkla house in Oslo.

As Financial Manager, you will report to the CFO in OFI and will collaborate with the Orkla HQ corporate function covering financial controlling, internal audit, accounting, tax and treasury. As part of the OFI team, you will also work closely with the management teams, both at BA and Business Unit level. You will get responsibilities from day 1, working with financial reporting, as well as strategic analysis and projects. 

Your main responsibilities and tasks in this role will be:

  • Managing and coordinating the OFI monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes
  • Analyzing and implementing best practices and procedures to improve internal reporting efficiency and productivity
  • Creating ad hoc reports and analysis upon request
  • Completing projects and tasks on various issues when needed; maintaining flexibility as business requirements evolve.

  • Are able to work under pressure, respect deadlines and are comfortable to make presentations on a regular basis. 
  • Demonstrate good judgment, strong interpersonal skills, solid problem-solving skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and are self-motivated and well organized

 

In addition, we would like you to have:

  • Relevant Master’s degree and 5+ years of experience
  • Good financial understanding and a solid competence in modelling in Excel
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management and Smart View
  • Very good verbal and written ability in English (verbal and written ability in Norwegian represents an advantage)
