This structure aims to enhance cost efficiency, harmonization, and investment in our brands, factories, and expertise.

 

The Role
We are looking for a ESG Controller to be responsible for the ESG reporting process by securing that robust data is delivered in time. The ESG Controller will be a part of our finance department and report to the Finance Manager. In this position, you will be an important contributor in driving the agenda for current and future ESG reporting needs. You will get insights and collaborate with multiple stakeholders within and across the company.
 

Key Responsibilities:
•    Sence-check of data, to provide an accurate historic review and future predictions
•    Prepare and review ESG reporting documents (incl. non-financial disclosures), ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant guidelines
•    Maintain and update baselines and status of various KPIs (based on new information) – e.g. with regards to climate emission accounting
•    Track activities and progress related to emission reduction activities in scope 1, 2 and 3; focus on quality and documentation due to auditing
•    Responsible for securing process and system management to ensure recording of input from BU’s
•    Collaborate with relevant departments (for example local finance in Business Units and R&D and Sustainability) on capturing and improving quality in the data
•    Support the PortCo Head of Sustainability og PortCo Management relating to strategic development and also business cases to deliver on the long-term ambitions
•    Collaborate with EHS & Food Safety Manager for category reporting
•    Contribute to double materiality assessments
•    Participate in relevant forums f.ex. Supply Chain EHS network/forum, Orkla ASA Sustainability network
•    Facilitate and support the sustainability audit process
•    Support BUs in target setting and way of working

 

Candidate Profile
We are looking for a self-driven and curious professional with a structured and result-driven personality and diligent mindset. The ideal candidate should possess:
•    A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or other relevant quantitative field.
•    Minimum 3-5 years of experience from positions within finance, auditing or ESG reporting
•    Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate non-financial reporting into business implications for relevant stakeholders
•    Experience with EU regulations and frameworks such as EU taxonomy and CSRD incl. ESRSs is preferred
•    Knowledge of established sustainability standards is an advantage
•    Good knowledge of consolidating numbers in Tagetik is advantage
•    Fluency in English is required; fluency in a Scandinavian language is preferred.
