Communication Specialist

Orkla is a market-leading supplier of branded consumer goods and concept solutions to the grocery sector, specialist retailers, out-of-home sectors and the bakery market. In Norway we have popular brands like Grandiosa, Stabburet, Nidar, Sætre, KiMs, Jordan and Möller’s. The Nordic and Baltic regions and selected countries in Central Europe are Orkla’s main markets.

Right now, Orkla run a large internal ERP project. The project is one of the largest change projects in Orkla and require a lot of cross-functional work in most of our markets. Accordingly, good communication is essential for the project to succeed.

To the Group Communication Department, we’re looking for a team player that can take a holistic approach to the project communication and make sure there’s a red thread in all communication activities.

 

We’re looking for someone that:

  • Can work both on a strategical and operational level with communication.
  • Can set up a communication strategy and plan that support the project’s vision and goals.
  • Knows how to find a good story and how to best tell it to drive awareness and inspire employees to support the change process.
  • Can write and take photos for the intranet and other internal communication channels such as brochures and presentations.  
  • Can be a strategic communication partner and support the Project Management Team in the way they communicate prior to presentations and important meetings.
  • Can independently push the communication agenda in the project

 

We think the role will suit you if you like to take own initiatives, are detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.

 

Wanted qualifications:

  • Higher education at bachelor / master's level or equivalent within media, journalism, economics or social studies. Relevant work experience can compensate for educational requirements.
  • Experience from communication work with many stakeholders, both strategic and operational, and have worked with content production as well as publishing on internal communication platforms.
  • Experience from communication roles in large change projects will be appreciated.
  • Very good written and oral formulation skills in English. Knowledge in one other Scandinavian language is an advantage.

The position will report to Kari Westersund, Senior Vice President Communications, but will on a daily basis work closely with the Project Management and Change Management team.

 

Location is Oslo, but the position will demand some travelling to other project locations abroad. English is the main project language.

 

The position is temporary and set to one year, with possibility of extension.
