Business Development Director in Orkla Health

 

Orkla Health has an ambitious growth agenda were growing our core business within health products, developing new concepts and extending both our omni-channel presentation and geographical expansion is key. The company has developed a Full Potential Plan with 22 initiatives which together with growth of our current core shall deliver strong value creation. The Business Development Director will play a critical role in helping our leaders deliver on these ambitions.
 

The role is established to lead budget processes, strategy workshops and 3-year plan processes, and together with our leadership team and other business development roles, take on and follow up on structural and organic business development projects.


The role will report to CEO of Orkla Health, but not be part of the leadership team.

 

 Main responsibility and tasks

   

  • Business Analysis
    The role will support by analyzing processes, structure and performance to identify areas for improvement or strategic opportunities.

     
  • Strategic Planning
    Lead short and long-term strategy development process and project
    Facilitate overall Orkla Health strategy and action plans
    Support the leadership team in setting direction, defining goals and aligning initiatives with Orkla Health’s long-term objectives.

     
  • Advisory
    Work as a neutral strategic advisor for the leadership team, including offering guidance on complex business challenges, efficiency improvements and strategic- decision making process.

     
  • Performance improvement
    Identified opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, optimize processes and support improvement of overall organizational performance.
    This including recommending and implementing initiatives that contribute to achieving strategic objectives

     
  • Change Management
    Support organizational changes and assist in developing change management plans, ensuring that strategic initiatives are effectively implemented.

     
  • Support/Lead the Business Review process
    Provide expertise and lead/support the business review process by setting objective and timelines, managing project teams and ensuring the review aligns with Orkla Health strategy.

 

 

Who are you?  
 

We believe that our new Business Development Director has experience from working as a management consultant in a top-tier consulting firm with international clients. The best candidates for the role also have strong analytical skills, strategy development experience and excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

 

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications: 
 

  • Master’s degree in business administration, finance, engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience from management consultant positions, business development, including experience in driving change
  • Experience from market and commercial analysis, development of value creation plans and implementation of M&A/PMI processes
  • Experience from larger transformation projects as cost reductions, reorganizations etc.
  • Experience in FMCG and/or consumer industry
  • Hands on experience from relevant elements of NRM
  • Experience from business development at a strategic level in a consumer-centric, sizable and complex business (internally in Orkla or externally)

Where will you be based?  
Flexible, but hybrid working from one of our office locations in the Nordics will be preferred. Frequent travelling is required.
