Orkla IT is now seeking an Application Manager for Integrated Business Planning 

Due to increasing demand from the Orkla Business Units, Orkla IT wants to strengthen the IBP projects and operations organisation with a full time Application Manager IBP. We are looking for a person with strong leadership skills, who can manage processes and people. Preferably with experience in setting up application support, including ITIL processes, routines, and documentation. Experience with SAP, IBP, APO, or other planning solutions, is preferred but not strictly required. 

You will be responsible for the daily operations (incidents, changes, upgrades, etc), which includes management of internal and external resources. In addition, the role will require direct cooperation with the software supplier SAP in their partner network. 
The Application Manager is also responsible for internal improvement projects, and transitions from 3rd party projects together with Service Delivery Manager. 

Orkla IT can offer you an exiting workplace, with many high skilled collegues, on central locations in Oslo (near Skøyen station). 

Main responsibilities

  • Further structuring  the support organisation, consisting of internal and external IBP resources
  • Full responsibility for the external resources (personnel management)
  • Further developing the ITIL processes for IBP
  • Further developing the daily and weekly routines, for example job monitoring
  • Structuring the documentation setup, and define processes for the onboarding of new BU’s with regard to documentation
  • Operational follow up of incidents, changes, and upgrades
  • Running war rooms and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) in case of major incidents
  • Prepare transitions for new BU’s together with SDM/Transition Manager
  • Security setup, roles and authorisations, and other security matters
  • Contact towards SAP in their partner network



  • University level degree (or similar) minimum 3 years, preferably 5 years.

  • IT and/or Business/Supply Chain


The ideal candidate has the following experience/skills

  • Experience from working with external partners and governing IT system solutions and processes
  • Experienced in setting up and improving processes, routines, and standards
  • Ability to follow up and act, task oriented hands-on mentality
  • Business knowledge of Planning processes is an advantage, but not required: Demand Planning / Supply Planning / MRP / Scheduling, and the supply chain in general
  • Industry insights within “fast-moving consumer goods”
  • Experience in managing off-shore employees (India)
