Join us and become our new Export Sales Manager in NIC, which is Orkla’s ice cream ingredients and accessories business unit.

As of today, we hold a leading, fast-growing position within the ice cream industry in Europe. We mainly operate B2B, with our typical customers being ice cream shops and chains, wholesalers, and industrial producers. Within most of our biggest product categories, we have own production or contract manufacturing. High service levels, category leadership, and reliable distribution are key components of our business model.

Job Description

  • Responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing business relationships with customers in the defined export markets/regions
  • Create and deliver comprehensive commercial plans to drive sales volume and profitability, achieve/exceed sales targets, and further develop key export markets
  • Active prospecting. Identify, evaluate, and recommend new business opportunities.
  • Attend major trade fairs and represent the group at demo events (physical and virtual)
  • Effectively oversee all export operations, which entail:
    • Customer screening and planning
    • Sales forecasting activities
    • Order-to-Cash management, including customer service
    • Customer contract management
  • Coordinate interdepartmental communication pertaining to various account management tasks
  • Build strong and effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, audit requirements, programs, and activities.
  • Ensure that the culture within the Export Team is aligned with the entire group’s values and priorities

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and international business experience in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Foodservice and/or Retail, or in a similar sales-oriented role
  • Excellence in sales, business planning, and strategy development
  • Documented experience in contract negotiation and commercial deal management
  • Strong numeracy, communication, and presentation skills
  • Disciplined and proactive team player with a collaborative and growth mindset, who works well with cross-functional remote teams
  • Strong Interpersonal skills. Ability to interact with different kinds of customers and build trustworthy and sustainable business relationships
  • Chosen candidate must demonstrate remarkable leadership capabilities
  • Languages: Fluency (speaking, reading, and writing) in both German and English is a must. French is a plus. Multilingual capability is an advantage.
