Orkla House Care is 100% owned by Orkla ASA. Orkla House Care is the leading provider of brushes, rollers and other painting tools. Including relevant consumables such as sanding, tape, protection gear and cleaning equipment. The main markets are the Nordic countries and the UK. The main proprietary brands are Jordan, Harris, Anza, Spekter and Hamilton. Sales are mainly through traditional paint shops and trade merchants. The business has around 1000 employees and the total business has a turnover of approximately 1,2 billion Norwegian kroner. Most of the products are self-produced and distributed through Bankeryd in Sweden, and Bromsgrove in the UK. The head office is at Skøyen in Oslo.

As International Product Manager for these brands, your support will help us to reach our shared goals, as you work to optimize the product assortments that meet the needs of our end-users and customers, whilst simultaneously maximizing profitability and minimizing complexity.  


Key tasks

  • Gather category and end-user insight for the relevant home markets, utilize and share this within the OHC group
  • Lead the Category Strategy planning process for your area of responsibility utilizing insight, business facts and data to ensure we deliver on relevant customer and end-users needs
  • Identify potential opportunities, test ideas and establish relevant projects to deliver future growth
  • Manage the Anza PRO, Spekter and Jordan Håndverk product portfolios 
  • Engage with a broad range of stakeholders across our value chain to ensure that both our projects and portfolio management aligns with their requirements, expectations and our overall OHC strategy
  • Be the project leader for both tactical and cross functional strategic innovation projects
  • Present and contribute to the OHC Innovation Board and other relevant forums
  • Participate in the development and implementation of processes and methods of working that help the entire Marketing and Innovation department function at its best

We are looking for candidates with the following background and skills

  • You are a natural and eager leader and used to working with and through others to achieve great results. 
  • You have excellent communication skills and a proven ability to influence and integrate the opinions of stakeholders.
  • You have project management experience and enjoy overcoming obstacles, identifying solutions and delivering on time, in full.
  • You're highly analytical and enjoy trying to look beyond the numbers to figure out the underlying trends or motivations that drive them.
  • You'll have experience of working with or within Marketing, Commercial sales or Product Development.
  • You are fluent in English and a Nordic language
  • You have a professional degree in a relevant subject 
  • Knowledge of the painting tools category is an advantage

This role requires some international travel, this is most likely to be across the Nordics, Belgium and the Netherlands.
