About Raw Materials

 

The Raw Materials sector is the largest spending area within Orkla Procurement, covering categories such as Vegetables, Fruit & Berries, Food Additives & Improvers, Proteins, Dairy, and Eggs. With a full year spend of 11 billion NOK, this sector plays a crucial role in our business operations.

 

We are represented in several locations in Europe with the majority located in Oslo, Malmö and Stockholm.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

As the VP of Raw Materials, you will:

 

  • Strategize and execute: Develop, align, and implement strategic procurement plans to ensure competitive pricing, quality, sustainability and delivery terms.
  • Supplier relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to optimize negotiations and secure favorable terms.
  • Quality assurance: Ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Team leadership: Lead and mentor a team of 11 FTEs, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Market analysis: Monitor market trends, adjusting strategies to mitigate risks and seize opportunities.
  • Financial oversight: Manage the sector budget, driving cost-effective procurement practices.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate with Orkla BU- and PortCo levels, ensuring seamless proactive communication and alignment on sourcing strategies.

Experience & qualifications:

 

  • Over 10 years in senior leadership roles, with a strong track record in challenging environments.
  • Experience in business transformation, sourcing, and cost improvement projects.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in English is required; Scandinavian language skills are preferred.
